Non-binding expression of interest
Registration is initially a non-binding expression of interest only. It is not registration for a specific assignment, does not constitute acceptance by the organiser and creates no entitlement to selection, a particular role, hours, equipment or payment.
The organiser will inform registered people about the next steps. Participation becomes binding only after an explicit assignment confirmation and acceptance of the information applying to that assignment.
Details and contact
Your name, date of birth and email address must be complete and accurate. Date of birth is used in particular for age-appropriate planning, safeguarding and assessing permissible roles. Material changes should be communicated promptly.
Selection and assignment
The organiser decides on selection and assignment based on operational needs, suitability, experience, availability, age, safeguarding requirements and applicable law. It may change tasks or hours for objective reasons, or decline or withdraw an expression of interest or planned assignment.
Safety, conduct, accreditation and instruction requirements for a specific role will be communicated in good time. Compliance is a condition of participation.
Children and young people
Being under 14 does not automatically prevent an initial expression of interest. Younger people should complete registration together with a parent or legal guardian. Before any possible assignment, the organiser separately checks whether legally required, verifiable approval by a parent or guardian has been obtained; the child’s acceptance of these terms does not replace that approval.
Whether and where a minor may volunteer is decided later in light of their age, the specific task, planned supervision and safeguarding arrangements.
Communications, terms and privacy
Messages about registration, verification, selection and event delivery are solely operational volunteer communications. Questions may be sent to volunteers@wrmr2028.com. Registration does not include a newsletter subscription.
The required form confirmation records acceptance of these volunteer terms only. The privacy notice provides information and is not something the user “consents to”. Any GDPR consent needed for an optional additional purpose will be requested separately, for a specific purpose, voluntarily and with a right to withdraw. None of these statements includes a newsletter.
Changes and cancellation
Planning, tasks and schedules may change before the event. People affected by material changes will be contacted using the details provided. The organiser may change or cancel the volunteer process or individual assignments for operational, safety, regulatory or other objective reasons.
